1. How do I place an order with you?

  1. BY SHOPPING CART (Preferred): credit cards accepted
    For orders placed this way we accept payment by debit / credit card, Paypal, bank transfer (electronic banking) or UK£ cheque .


  2. BY PHONE on 020 8819 2767 (or +4420 8819 2767 from abroad).

    If we are not free to take your call please leave your name and number *clearly* and we will phone you back.

  3. MAIL ORDER (UK CHEQUE):
    UK customers can simply send the order by post to:

    (with a £ cheque or postal order payable to Tai Chi Finder Limited)
    Please write clearly your Name, Address, Post Code and Telephone Number and do not forget to mention the size and the colour you require.

  1. BROWSE OUR SHOP:
    Firstly, browse our shop by clicking on the category links on the left column or type in a product title or keyword in the Search Box to find exactly what you are looking for.
    You will then be presented with a list of relevant products.

  2. ADD THINGS TO YOUR SHOPPING CART (BASKET):
    When you have found a product that you'd like to buy, click "Add To Cart".
    This saves your chosen product in your Shopping Cart.
    If you would like to buy more than one of your chosen product, type the number in the Quantity box of the Shopping Cart, then click "Update" to update the amount.
    If you would like to remove a product from your Shopping Cart, click your cursor on the "Remove" Checkbox, then click "Update".

    Some products are listed in sets but available individually (eg. the Shaolin DVDs). Each item in the set is listed in a column, and you may select several items from the set, choosing the quantity required of each one and just click the "Add to Cart" button at the bottom of the page once to add all the items to your shopping cart.
    Any items you currently have in your Shopping Cart will remain there until you buy or remove them. You can see which items you have in your Shopping Cart in the Shopping Cart box (left hand column).
    Otherwise, click the "Checkout" button to make your purchase.

  3. GO TO THE CHECKOUT:
    When you are ready to buy your chosen products, click the "Checkout" link at the top of the page or click the "checkout" button on the shopping cart page.

    If you are a new customer to Tai Chi Finder, click the "Continue" button and simply add your contact details, choose a password and click the "Continue" button once more to proceed to the next stage.
    If you are already a Tai Chi Finder customer (have previously registered or made purchases), click the "Sign In" button to log in with your email address and password.

  4. CONFIRM YOUR DELIVERY INFORMATION:
    Make sure that your delivery address is correct, then click "Continue".

  5. CHOOSE YOUR PAYMENT METHOD:
    Select how you'd like to pay for your purchase from the payment options, then click "Continue".

  6. CONFIRM YOUR ORDER:
    Make sure that all the information is correct, then confirm your order by clicking "Confirm Order".

    Note: Where the Euro equivalent price is displayed, these are approximations for guidance only as checkout will be in GBP unless paying by bank transfer.
    If paying by Card or through PayPal please do not close the browser window until you come back to a Tai Chi Finder confirmation screen!

4. What methods of payment can I use to purchase?

On-line there are four payment methods to choose from at checkout:-

  • Debit / Credit Card
  • Paypal
  • Bank Transfer (electronic banking)
  • UK£ cheque

Please do not send card details by post or leave them on our answering machine

5. How do I know shopping here is secure?

secured We use secure third party payment processors like PROTX and Paypal. We do not keep any record of your credit card. It is charged as it is entered directly to the PROTX or Paypal site.

Your personal information is protected by 128-bit encrypted using SSL. You are responsible for keeping your Username and Password safe to prevent unauthorized access.

6. How do I know when my order has been dispatched?

When you purchase goods from us, we will send you an automated receipt by email. If you do not receive this you should check your spam filters. You will then receive further email notification when your order has been dispatched but please feel free to contact us at any time about your order.
You can also check the status of your order online at any time by clicking on My Account and logging in with your email address and password.

Here's what each order status means:

Pending: - We are still waiting for your payment to clear.

Processing: - Your payment has been received and your order is currently being dealt with.

Pick and Pack: - Our warehouse will be sending your order the same day.

Dispatched: - Your order has either been delivered or is on its way to you.

7. Do I get a receipt for my purchase?

Yes receipts are in pounds (GBP) which is the accounting currency of our shop. You will receive an automated receipt by email after you have placed your order. You may log in and print details of your order and will normally receive a receipt with your goods. Where the sender and recipient appear to be different we will just include a packing note in case this is a gift.

8. Is there a delivery charge? If so, how much?

  • Delivery within the UK and Europe is free for CDs and DVDs with other items being charged a total of £3.50 regardless of the size of order within the UK or by shipping weight to the rest of Europe You may calculate these in the shopping cart and they will be confirmed during the purchase process and clearly displayed to you before payment.
  • Additional shipping charges may apply on trade/wholesale orders over 2 kg to the highlands and islands please call for a quote.

9. How long does delivery take?

We aim to despatch items within 2 working days of your order.
Once posted, usually delivery takes one or two working days with the UK and up to a week elsewhere in Europe.

11. Where are you based?

Our office is located in London, England and our warehouse is in Ely. Items shown as in stock in our on-line catalog are kept at the warehouse. Neither the office nor the warehouse is open to the public.

We started Tai Chi Finder in the year 2000 as a family business (now a limited company No. 5001746 registered in England and Wales) with the aim of making it easier for people to find high quality instruction :

  • local tai chi classes throughout the country.
  • quality videos and clothing
In fact we were getting many enquiries to teach in areas that were too far to reach and this seemed to be the best way to help. We try out as many of the products as we can but particularly welcome your reviews, good or bad which help us to keep upgrading our range of tai chi, qigong and Chinese martial arts DVDs. We like to support local producers but such is the quality and diversity of the videos from China that we unfortunately have to reject many good videos to avoid duplication.

12. Do you deliver worldwide? Will I have to pay duty on my purchases?

All of our current range can be delivered anywhere in Europe. We do not ship beyond the boundaries of Europe but can usually find you find a supplier who will.

It is your responsibilty to pay any import duty that may be due, however, if you are in the UK or elsewhere in the European Economic Area there should be no import duty.

13. Do you do wholesale / trade orders or volume discounts?

We offer the best prices we can without compromising on quality of service.:

  • There are automatic discounts on most products for large orders and Regular Customers (so keep all your orders under the same account).
  • Instructor discounts on application
  • We just sell to retail customers but can arrange wholesale or bulk purchases on most items through our many contacts.

14. Can you send me a printed catalogue?

We do not distribute a printed catalogue at present. There is however a
pricelist without images that you may find it useful to refer to or print.

  • We always welcome informative articles and products reviews (good or bad).
    Click the -Reviews- button in the product description (no need to log in). Your review will appear on the site in a few days time as we have to check them over first for libel :-)
